Expired Learner Licence

Expired ACT Learner Licence holders are only required to undertake and pass the Road Rules Knowledge Test again.

How much does it cost to do the knowledge test? $40.50 for each attempt, the test may only be attempted twice a day.

Is the knowledge test available in other languages? No, but an interpreter can be arranged for most languages, please contact the relevant location to book an appointment.

Interpreter assisted knowledge test:

  • 1st appointment $40.50 for each attempt (includes interpreter) a maximum of 2 attempts a day
  • 2nd appointment $40.50 for each attempt (includes interpreter) a maximum of 2 attempts a day
  • Any further apppointments $40 for each attempt, a maximum of 2 attempts a day, will need to pay additional fee for interpreter: $176.77 Monday to Friday and $282.59 Saturday

What do I need to bring with me?

ACT Expired Licence

OR

  1. Licence History Details printout from the ACT Government
  2. Primary Proof of Identity
  3. Secondary Proof of Identity
  4. 3rd Proof of Identity (can be primary or secondary)
  5. Proof of Residency
  6. Provide 2 passport photos or bring $5 for them to be taken by road ready staff
